Harry Caldwell –

Harry Caldwell, the latest addition to the Faber & Friends Band migrated to East Texas by way of Benton Harbor, Michigan.  Although Harry is the most recent addition to the band, he is not by far new to the world of music.

Harry started out with gospel groups as early as 1969 when he sang vocals and played flute for “The Disciples of Music” and later, during the 1980’s he sang vocals for “The True Life Singers” of Kalamazoo, Michigan.

During the late 70’s through the mid 90’s, his experience in Rhythm &Blues  included studio vocals with Maoku Productions – Hollywood,CA,   Ike Turner Studio Bolick Sounds of Ingelwood, CA,   and 20th Century Records of  Redondo Beach, California.   Also, while residing in California, he was a member of “Talisman” - Rock/Fusion band managed by Carolyn Clarke; played conga drums and sang for Club 88; and had the pleasure of performing on stage with George Duke, Stanley Clarke, Billy Cobham, and Al Di Meola.

After returning to Michigan, he started singing with “Mixed Generation” and “Work in Progress” of Benton Harbor, MI and “The Touch Band of Kalamazoo, MI.

Harry’s jazz experience comes from being a vocalist with “WoodyWoodhouse” of Seattle, WA and “50 Yardline” with Margaret Murphy-Webb of Chicago, Illinois .

After moving to Houston and returning to his gospel roots which were never forgotten,  from 2007-2011,  Harry sang vocals for “Men of Promise”,  “Voices of Inspiration”, Adoration of Praise Team,  “Epiphany Christmas Choir” and “The Fountain of Praise Mass Choir” with Gospel Artist Kurt Carr and Pamela Davis, and co-founded a contemporary gospel group, “Juz  Prayze”.

As a 7 year resident of Kilgore, Texas, Harry comes to East Texas as well as Faber &Friends Band with a smooth touch of Jazz vocals and a 3 octave range that allows him to sing with ease or as he would say with his trademark smile, “ Just wherever I need to fill in”  and that he does well.
